Search the MLS for Thomasville homes for saleFrom 9:30am to 12pm this Saturday, May 25, 2013, the Thomasville Birdsong Nature Center will be leading excursions through their Farm and Upper Ponds.  Kids and adults will be investigating the underwater creatures living in both ponds up close and personal.  Learn how plants and animals have adapted to living in their aquatic surroundings.  Everyone is encouraged to bring a clean bucket (one that doesn't have any soap inside because this will harm the plants and animals), a dip net (if you don't have one, you can buy one at the center for $2), boots, waders or tennis shoes that you don't mind getting muddy, sun screen and a hat to protect you from UV rays and a change of clothes for your ride home.

Reservations are requested by 12pm on May 24th to ensure that the center is prepared.  The cost for this underwater excursion is $5 for non-member adults, $3 for Friends of Birdsong and half-price for kids.  You're guaranteed a wet and muddy time at Birdsong in Thomasville.  Think of all the fun you can introduce your kids to!
