An 1,100 acre public park in the center of Glynn County Georgia in Brunswick is the impressive Blythe Island Regional Park. This beautiful property offers something for everyone including:
A full service campground, and a marina and dockwith a 6 ton boat hoist and access to the South Brunswick River to saltwater fish. (Dockage as well as live and dead bait sales are available).
In addition to camping, the park offers a fresh water lake where you can swim and and fresh water fish.

Jekyll Island is a barrier island off the coast of Georgia and is known as one of the Golden Isles of Georgia. The road leading to the Jekyll Island Club and historic district is lined with beautiful live oak trees.
The Jekyll Island Club Hotel was originally a hunting retreat built in 1888 for families such as the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, J.P. Morgan and the Astors. Later abandoned, the Jekyll Island Club was restored to in 1986.
Jekyll Island's 240 acres of waterfront Historic Landmark District is ongoing with the restoration of the buildings on the grounds.

If you want to take a guided canoe trip down the Altamaha River on August 21 and learn about the history of the rice plantations while viewing the river, salt water marsh and wild life, come to the Fort King George Historic Site at 8 a.m. The location is 209 McIntosh Avenue in Darien, Georgia.

Cumberland Island, a barrier island off the coast of Georgia is larger than Manhattan Island, but never has more then 300 visitors per day. Cumberland is the southernmost barrier island on the Georgia coast. The island is over 36,000 acres, 17.5 miles long and approximately 1 ½ to 3 ½ miles wide. There is no causeway or bridge to the island so most of the visitors to the island take the Cumberland Ferry from Saint Mary's, Georgia.
