A few years ago I was in the precarious position of purchasing a home on my own for the first time. Talk about being green, I didn't know how much I didn't know. At first I thought, "how hard could it be?, just hire the right person, right?" Wrong. How do you know 'who' that person should be? Is it the seasoned agent whose name is plastered everywhere and has so much business you're little insecurties are pooh-poohed away. Or is the newbie who has plenty of time but few experiences to draw on when asked about the 'what if's"? Personally, I did what I see many people doing now, I called and meet with the listing agent (who knew I needed an agent working for me?) for homes that attracted my interest. The process continued until I met the "one". Even at that point, I blindly let someone make important decisions on my behalf. This important life experience heightened my sensitivity to Listen to my clients, Educate my inexperienced clients, Support my clients with the many professionals with valuable services and information and Value the unique situation each transaction provides.
