I wonder why my house will not sell?  Would you rent it for me?
I got a call from a women a few weeks ago asking if I would rent her home here in Burningtown Franklin, NC. I do long term rentals only.  Seemed like a nice older women, husband has passed and now she can not afford to take care of both homes with out him.  Happens all the time up here with our second homes and one spouse passes away.  They built the home together and I am sure she has wonderful memories of coming up here with … (6 comments)

BPO stands for "broker price opinion," and it involves using a process very similar to an appraisal.  There are a few different kinds of BPO's  agents and brokers get hired for.  It could be a drive by or an extensive inside with pictures.  Banks order them as well as big companies that work for the banks.  There are many forms to fill out per their request, some are simple and some are complicated & time consuming.

When a buyer or a seller asks this question its interesting to see them waiting for the answer as if its going to pop right out of your mouth.  The answer will be all over the map until you have been pre-qualified and choose a home you want to buy.  I can't give them an answer until I have all the information that is needed to come up with that number.

Winter time is the worst time of the year for the air quality in your home.  People spend more time in their home in the winter and the home doesn't get much fresh air.  
Some say that the air inside your home can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air even in the largest and most industrialized cities. I have ionized air in my home and keep my fan running during the day.  I love the smell of ionized air but it doesn't get rid of all the polluted winter air in my home.

If you are from up north you probably have heard the term "Snot Freezing Weather"!  As kids we didn't care how cold it was, we wanted to go out and play with our neighborhood friends.  Who wanted to stay home with your brothers and sisters or worse the parents.  We stayed out as long as we could and your nose would run so much it would freeze. We didn't have computers, video games or cell phones to text so nobody stayed home.

Sometimes we talk above the clients head and need to slow down and explain what some of these short terms we use in everyday language around the office.  Not everyone knows what a HOA is.  Heck I didn't even know what it meant until I became a Realtor.

Growing up in upstate NY I had a lot of fun as a kid in the winter.  I loved to ice skate & sled.  I never did go skiing I was too chicken.  Here in NC they do it a little different, they Tube. Come visit and experience, or rediscover, the fun of Trout Fishing in NC, Ice Skating, summer tubing, and Snow Tubing in NC.

I noticed  that there were dehumidifiers included, is there a mold problem or water leaks? How old is the roof? Are there any structural problems? Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
