Winter sunsets are just beautiful in my opinion. Is it me or is it true that the winter sunsets are different than in the summer? On this winter day the sun was setting in the Cartoogechaye Community Franklin, NC. I get to see them almost everyday on my way home and as soon as you cross over the overpass of Hwy. 64 you can not help but look. In the morning I look to the East when the sun is rising. I just love going over the bridge coming and going to and from (12 comments)
Whats a BPO? - 01/21/11 02:27 PM
Whats a BPO? BPO stands for "broker price opinion," and it involves using a process very similar to an appraisal. There are a few different kinds of BPO's agents and brokers get hired for. It could be a drive by or an extensive inside with pictures. Banks order them as well as big companies that work for the banks. There are many forms to fill out per their request, some are simple and some are complicated & time consuming. Sometimes they call at the last minute and give you just a day or two to get all this work done for (3 comments)

How much will my closing cost be? I can come pretty darn close with the right information. - 01/16/11 01:58 PM
How much will my closing cost be? When a buyer or a seller asks this question its interesting to see them waiting for the answer as if its going to pop right out of your mouth. The answer will be all over the map until you have been pre-qualified and choose a home you want to buy. I can't give them an answer until I have all the information that is needed to come up with that number. Disclosing I am not an accountant, closing attorney, a loan officer I can come pretty darn close if I have all the information. All (0 comments)
Winter toxins in your home? - Give it some oxygen - 01/15/11 11:39 AM
Winter toxins in your home? - Give it some oxygen Winter time is the worst time of the year for the air quality in your home. People spend more time in their home in the winter and the home doesn't get much fresh air. Some say that the air inside your home can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air even in the largest and most industrialized cities. I have ionized air in my home and keep my fan running during the day. I love the smell of ionized air but it doesn't get rid of all the polluted winter air in my home. (6 comments)

"Snot Freezing Weather" in Franklin, NC and 49 States with snow If you are from up north you probably have heard the term "Snot Freezing Weather"! As kids we didn't care how cold it was, we wanted to go out and play with our neighborhood friends. Who wanted to stay home with your brothers and sisters or worse the parents. We stayed out as long as we could and your nose would run so much it would freeze. We didn't have computers, video games or cell phones to text so nobody stayed home. In the winter time we had sleds, ice skates, skiing (6 comments)

Sometimes we talk above the clients head and need to slow down and explain what some of these short terms we use in everyday language around the office. Not everyone knows what a HOA is. Heck I didn't even know what it meant until I became a Realtor.
A Home Owner Association (abbrev. HOA) is an organization created by a real estate developer for the purpose of controlling the appearance and managing any common-area assets during the marketing, managing, and selling of homes and sites in a residential subdivision. It grants the developer privileged voting rights in governing the association, (4 comments)

What a tragedy it is when someone takes another's life and injures others. How could there even be a reason for such a thing. People like this are more than mentally ill.
