The heat doesn't work and I want to withdraw our offer.  Buyers Agent Killed his own deal.
Last week I had four contracts and this week two of them are dead.  
One of them that really irks me is when the Realtor went back to the house the day after we finished our negotiation's to take another look with the buyer.  It happened to be a cold morning and they thought why not turn the heat on while they were looking around.

I told you we had to move fast on this one.  This foreclosure is already under contract in 8 days!  Wish they all would move that fast but it just gos to show you if you price it right they will sell!

It's like taking a used car to your mechanic before you buy the car!
Someone is going to buy that house but its not going to be my client!  I am so glad I know a little bit about the mechanics of a home and my clients are too.  Way before I became a Realtor I worked with my husband at his Construction business and his Home Inspection business here in Franklin, NC.  I was the one shaking the toilets to see if they were loose, running all the appliances, and checking the polarity on every electrical outlet in the home. … (6 comments)

I have some bad habits when it comes to eating right.  It's not that I don't eat good foods it is when I eat them.  Everyone knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day they say.  I don't normally eat breakfast but when I do I feel better through-out the day.  Lunch time comes and gos a lot of the times.  I am too busy at the office, out looking at listings or showing them.  I do buy breakfast bars and Pop tarts and keep them in my … (10 comments)

Think you know what you are doing when your buying foreclosures?  Not all are defective free or not have some hidden problem!  Just a friendly warning of a few things that could happen to you if you don't hire the right people who are knowledgeable and on your side. 
It's a MUST with my clients to have a Home Inspection even if the bank states they are not fixing anything.  This way you will know what needs immediate attention and what can be done … (6 comments)

I remember what I got as a closing gift from our Real Estate Agent when selling our home in 1990.  I didn't like it then and don't like it now.  It was a cook book and at that time I was not into cooking and didn't care to learn out of some book.  However, I did remember it and thought it was a terrible gift to give someone who doesn't even cook.  That told me she didn't know us at all.  (I learned how to cook)  :O)

Blessed with getting to see another Satellite Rocket go up at Cape Canaveral.
It was a classified satellite rocket and it seemed like we could see it for so long.  The sun was setting and made the smoke look really cool.  I took these pictures on every setting of my camera not knowing just what the heck I was doing.  Enjoy.

Observations at Ruby Tuesdays in Daytona Beach Florida 
While down here for Daytona Bike Week we been to eat at Ruby Tuesdays twice.  Each time I made a strange observation.  The first night we went in at around 7pm and it was slow.  Didn't bother us because we got to sit right down and got a good waitress to serve us and was happy to do it. 
While sitting there I noticed the Hostess polishing the front doors brass handles and cleaning other important areas as customers approach.  I thought hmmm she is keeping busy doing something other than goofing off.

The shuttle that went up yesterday in Florida.  Good timing for us.

We just walked in the room and sat down and on the TV they were counting down for 10, 9, 8....  We knew it had to be the Shuttle so we raced outside to the balcony.   Of course Active Rain has trained me to grab my camera and sure enough I got a pretty good shot of it.  It's not as if we were at the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando but it was still exciting.

I have always said that our Real Estate market follows the big cities and especially Florida when it come to the market.  What ever is happening in you area usually does not hit our area of Franklin, NC for about a year and a half to two. 
Recently we been seeing a lot of Foreclosure come on the market in Franklin, NC and has not stopped for a month or two.  Yes we have had some but it seems like more and more are coming.

Daytona Bike Week here I come again
Its their 75th year and I am sure it will be a great time to go.  I can't wait to take a short little break and visit Dayton Bike Week in Florida once again.  I wonder what special events this will have to celebrate their Milestone?
