Living in Franklin North Carolina
Franklin, NC is a small little township in Macon County. It is located in the very Southwest corner of North Carolina within the Nantahala National Forest. Population in the town is 3,898 (2013) and in Macon County it is 33,857 (2013). We have over double the population since 1970. Our secret is out!

The Bowery is newest restaurant that opened up in downtown Franklin North Carolina, February 4th, 2015. It has brought life back after 5pm on Main St. There are a number of other good places to eat but nothing like this and its refreshing to have here in our little town.

Tree Lighting festivities kick off the holidays Thanksgiving weekend in Downtown Franklin, NC.
Friday evening Nov. 26th at 7p.m. on the square in downtown Franklin, NC we will kick off the season with the tree lighting ceremony. It signals the beginning of the holiday celebrations.
The Streets of Franklin Merchants Associationwill sponsor a candlelight service following the tree lighting. Anyone wishing to light a candle is welcome to participate.
