remembering the vets: 1,200 Vets Wrongly Told They Had ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), this happened to my brother! - 08/25/09 08:40 AM
At least 1,200 veterans across the country have been mistakenly told by the Veterans Administration that they suffer from a fatal neurological disease.  My brother called me last week and told me he received a letter in the mail from the VA telling him he has what is known as Lou Gehrig's disease.  Of course we all were devastated with this news.  I even called him a liar because I didn't want to believe this.  I also could not believe they just send him a letter in the mail and not called him in the doctors office.

I called my brother and sister-in-law to thank them for my freedom!  He said your welcome and I would do it again if I had the chance.  I did not get to talk to Karen, she was marching in the parade today and my brother can not walk well due to an old injury.  She sent me a photo of all of those who were in todays festivities.  She was the only women?  I know she didn't care, she is a trooper!  They are both retired now from the Navy.  I don't know about you … (0 comments)
