Thank you for your message. I welcome the opportunity to respond to my constituents about the issues that concern them most.
In your message, you expressed concern over the state of America's housing market. Specifically, you asked that the $8,000 tax credit be extended to help the market recover. You will be pleased to know that I am a cosponsor of H.R. 2801, the Home Ownership Moves the Economy (HOME) Act of 2009.

My kids people are grown and have left the nest & my husband is out of town. I love them dearly, but was so happy that I was free to show houses this Saturday to a charming young lady who is attending college here in Florence.Does anyone remember being 21? I do. People are using the internet to find homes at increasing rates. Why not? Many first-time buyers do most of their social networking online and have never met some of their "friends" in person. They are comfortable using the internet in every aspect of their lives. The people I'm impressed with are the older generation. There are a few hold-outs, but for the most part, they embrace the internet even if it's just to check their email for news from their family!

Springtime is not the only "green" thing in town! It seems like everyone is jumping on the environmental wagon. Some people would like to join in this movement, but they aren't sure what they can do.
We have become a disposable society. Our landfills are filling up at astronomical rates. Recycling is good; but, why settle for "good" when you can do what is great?!

Saturday's are wonderful. Especially ones like today! The sun is shining, the birds and singing, and people are in the mood to look at houses! On days like today, even property that needs a little work seem to just shine. I've invested heavily in this Saturday. The phones for Real Estate Shoals have been rolled over to me for the weekend! This morning started by someone interested in a $312,000 property.
