I recently took some clients out looking at townhouses in Burnaby British Columbia on a beautiful Saturday morning around 11:00am.  Our second property of the day was one owned by the Listing Agent who asked for a couple minutes to turn on lights and open doors before we toured.  He was gone for 15-20 mins and upon his return we entered the property.  As a rule I have found that the majority of properties listed by Agents are very clean and show rather well.  This was definitely not the case here as we looked around the main floor area and noticed the dishes piled in the sink along with a pan on the stove-top with leftovers still in it from the night before.  The living room was not in any better condition and I hurried my clients upstairs to show them the 3 bedrooms.  This was going to be the selling point as they were looking forward to having the spare room for an office computer room.  Darkness awaits as not a single light had been turned on and all the doors were still closed.  I hurried ahead to open doors and flipped light switches as I went.  My clients ventured into the masteras I returned to the hallway.  I thought I heard a noise from the 3rd bedroom but didn't pay much attention to it.  My clients came past me and entered the 3rd bedroom to see how much room for desks and such when the bed covers moved.  A hand quickly shot out from under the covers and pulled the bedspread up and over the top pillows.  SOMEBODY WAS STILL SLEEPING IN THE BED!  I couldn't believe it, I could understand if it was a FSBO and they had no idea what was expected of them during a showing but this was a real estate agent showing his own property.  Needless to say my clients couldn't exit fast enough.  The day was not a total loss as my clients purchased a great property close by.  Any other crazy things that have been seen during a showing let me know.

Justin Wagner (Keller Williams Elite Realty)
Recently the District of Mission hired a new contractor to handle waste and recyclable curbside pick-ups. Along with this new contractor they have started to enforce the no bags at the curb rule. Two 80L bins per household. After just three weeks…
