I Wanted To Stay After Decorating! - 08/24/07 08:57 PM
The Smile On My Clients Face Was Priceless
I was fortunate enough to be called on to decorate this home; a blank canvas and fantastic clients!
Prior to going in, the only pieces of furniture were a dining room table and china cabinet. The floor covering was a cream coloured carpet. The walls were a light builder's beige (we all know THAT one!).
I will be posting the dining room pictures next week. We are still awaiting the curtains to come in 2-3 weeks.
I will update the post then...but for now, enjoy.

Planning Your Interior Design - 08/23/07 09:52 PM
Before Hiring an Interior Designer or Decorator, Make Sure They Will Decorate for YOU.
***Make sure your Designer or Decorator asks you these pertinent questions:
-What is the main function of this room?
-What kind of mood do you want it to portray?? Formal? Informal? Traditional? Contemporary?
Have them show you pictures to help you with your style and taste.
-What are your hobbies/interests?
-Do you like to entertain? How often?
-Make sure they will utilize materials/fabrics that are appropriate for your family--ie.-children and pet friendly.
-Are there allergies to certain fabrics?
-And last but not least...What is your budget???
** Ensure that they design for YOU!***

3.                       For a comfortable look, the drapery rod should be mounted a minimum of 2
