I'd THOUGHT I'd heard it all until I heard this WHOPPER today. 
 
     I got a call to list a home in Phoenix this morning.  We talked for about an hour about motivation, time lines, etc.  It's a short sale, unfortunately typical in our market.  But, the sellers dropped the biggest bombshell I'd ever heard and I thought I've heard it all.

     Today, while looking for some homes to show potential buyers on Thursday, I was reviewing the comments for showing instructions and came across this:
 
 
Can only show after 5:30pm in the evening Monday through Friday by appt. Weekends, the seller is flexible.  (copied and pasted - no editing.)
 
 
     Hmmmmm, this home has been on the market for 220 days in a subdivision which is averaging a low, LOW 72 days.  It is priced correctly.  But, get this sellers, if we can't get into see your home, we can't sell it.

     For the last couple of weeks, I've been exceptionally busy and haven't had time to do the mind teasers series.  I truly apologize to those who have followed me and hope to find time to get together a bunch of them for the coming weeks.  I'm showing homes to some Canadian buyers this afternoon, then dropping off an earnest money check.  Then, I think, I'll have time to look up mind teasers and get them ready for the next couple of weeks.

     This morning, I awoke to a frenzy of barking dogs.  That typically means some creature is in my back yard other than my two puppies.  So, I crawl out of bed, wipe the sleep from my eyes and headed out to see what the commotion was.  In addition to my furiously yapping boys, I heard three very distinctive caws.  Looking at my neighbor's chimney - I soon saw what the commotion was all about.

Held every Sunday from 10-3:00.  Stop by Reata Pass for a great brunch or lunch, then walk it off while enjoying all the some of the locals offer for sale.
 
Located at Reata Pass on Alma School Rd between Happy Valley Rd and Dynamite Blvd, this dog friendly farmers market has a lot of local  farmers, bakers, and jewelry makers.  The produce selection was great with different kinds of fresh herbs, chilis, fresh vegetables, spices - it was heavenly.

If visiting the Grand Canyon has been on your list of things to do in Arizona, I have some great news for you.  First, there are "free days" where the entrance fee of $25/car is waived.  On September 24th (Public Land Day) and November 11-13th (Veterans Day Weekend) the entrance fees are FREE to the Grand Canyon and many national parks!!!!

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of that dreadful date of 9/11, I'm proud to share with you our Arizona tribute to the memory of 9/11. 

 
The video will explain the thought that was put into making this great memorial.    Our Arizona 9/11 memorial was built with different parts of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the soil from a once peaceful Pennsylvania countryside.  The movement of sun throughout different times of the day reflect the timeline of the events.

As we remember those innocent lives lost in the insanity of 9/11, I wanted to share this Budweiser tribute with you all.  When it aired at the Super Bowl following the disaster, I remember crying.  Many missed this tribute and it was shown only that one time at the Super Bowl because Budweiser didn't want any financial benefit from it - they simply wanted to give their tribute to the tragedy.

Yesterday, after showing homes at Terravita, a great guard gated community in north Scottsdale at Scottsdale Rd and Carefree Hwy, I had to stop for a late lunch.  I knew that the Terravita shopping plaza had a Subway® and I could just grab a quick sandwich.
 
As I pulled up, I noticed a new sign (well new to me) announcing Cibo e Vino just two doors down.  So, being the curious sort, I decided to check it out.  I am SO GLAD I did.
