energy policy: Obama’s “American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan.” - 01/25/09 09:20 AM
I’ve been spending a little time, this morning, reviewing email I receive from Boone Pickens group and Barack Obama. Bear in mind, I am a lifelong Republican, yet it intrigues me that I am receiving weekly emails from Obama’s operation. I have never had this happen from candidates that I actually support. I wrote an article about this a few weeks back. You can view this post by clicking here. I thought I would share an appeal from Boone Pickens site regarding proposed legislation regarding energy policy contained in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan. “there are

energy policy: Gas Prices Increased 30 Cents A Gallon This Week - 01/11/09 08:08 AM
I purchased gasoline on Friday January 2, 2009 for $1.39 per gallon. By mid-week the price had reached $1.79. I purchased gas again on Friday January 9, 2009 for a $1.69. 30 cents per gallon, a 22% increase, for the week. This should come as no surprise, this has been happening for over 30 years. We import 70% of the oil we need and half of that amount comes from OPEC. At the height of oil prices, less than six months ago, this meant we were spending $350 billion a year to purchase OPEC oil. Even at today’s prices this equates

energy policy: Gasoline At $1.65 Per Gallon - 11/22/08 03:03 PM
Last night on my trip from Greenville, NC to Fayetteville, NC I saw the following prices of gasoline: In Greenville $1.79, I-95 $1.93 and in Fayetteville $1.65. Great news to be sure, but we can not be lulled to sleep. OPEC and the oil speculators will eventually raise prices again. For those in the real estate business the price of gasoline is a real issue as you spend so much time in your vehicles servicing your clients. We must have an all of the above energy policy. Conservation, alternative energy development, clean coal, nuclear expansion, conversion of the transportation energy to
