My wife and I are addicted to D.O. - No, it's not a drug....it's Dining Out! ....it's one of the things we like to do on a regular basis and one of our favorite spots in the entire city of Portland is Ribollita.  Ribollitta, the name, means 're-boiled ' and is a Tuscan bread & minestrone soup which, of course, is on the menu.  This is a quaint, 12 table, white linen hole-in-the-wall on outer Middle Street.  It's the last door on the left just before India Street (and probably not coincidentally) on the edge of Portlands' Little Italy.
