The media seems to be playing a big role in today's real estate market. They area aware that "doom and gloom" news sells. It's difficult to paint a picture with such a broad brush, when different areas experience different markets. Real estate if quite localized...do to location and diffferent surroundings, schools, etc.

Showings on listings were down slightly last week as compared to the 3 previous weeks, but still up quite a bit from the last 6 months. It seems like buyers are realizing with interest rates this low (30 year fixed mortgages were at 5.5%-3/18/08) and plenty of homes to choose from...better buy now. … (0 comments)

Condition and Staging of Home is very important in getting a Home Sold - 03/12/08 07:50 AM
In the past, de-cluttering and cleanng were enough to get a home sold. That is not the case in today's Real Estate market. Decluttering, de-personalizing, fixing repairs, cleaning/replacing carpet, painting rooms and staging are quite normal today when placing a home on the market. The important 3: Condition, pricing and aggressive marketing/networking...combine these 3 and your odds soar that you'll have success.

Incredible time to buy a home or investment property - 03/05/08 07:14 AM
It seems like buyers are realizing the amazing opportunities out there to buy! I've been encouraging past clients, friends, family and clients I meet that they may want to consider buying an investment property. I have a program I call "Give your child or grandchild a chance". Why not buy a home/townhome/condo and rent it and have it provide for a child's college? As the loan amount decreases and the value increases, it's an excellent way to pay for college or other big, future costs. I just bought another investment home myself...too tempting with the great opportunities!
