apgar: Glacier National Park on a February Saturday

It was a warmish, sunny day so we drove up to "the Park" yesterday. Stopped at Montana Coffee Traders in Columbia Falls on the way. It was Cabin Fever Days in Martin City - just west of the park so saw some action in that "town". We drove along Lake McDonald observing the beauty that was snow covered. The lake had some ice but was not solid. Went back to Apgar, walked through the art store then took a walk through the trees. Cherry harvest, Model T's crawling all over the valley, Kalispell by-pass progress. Bigfork will be very busy this weekend. Cherry harvest is in full swing around Flathead Lake.Get them before it is too late! The fun - shut down the streets - art festival is happening in Bigfork this weekend. Park outside town and take a shuttle. Weather should be ideal. Model T's have been seen all over the valley from as far away as New Zeland. Kalispell by-pass is making great progress. Election week: mostly primaries but we do have a new Flathead County Sheriff. West Valley School Bond - badly needed expansion in this desirable country school district. I have not heard if that passed yet or not. Some scattered showings on my listings in the last week. 2 townhouse buyers I am working with, over all a little quiet. Summer traffic is definitely building. Glacier Park road is not yet plowed out so some travelers may be in for a little surprise.
