hayfield: Kansas Hay & Alfalfa Production - 04/26/11 06:34 PM
The Kansas Agricultural Statistics from the Kansas Department of Agriculture released the 2010 Kansas Hay County Estimates this month. 
 
The report indicated that alfalfa production is down 32% from last year and the lowest production since 1959. Other hay production was also down at 10% below last year levels.  The chart below from the Kansas Ag Dept. report shows the hay production by agricultural district.
