The Washington post headline Ceres Partners reaps profits from farmland is just many news posts lately expanding on how many investment houses, hedge funds and internationally known famous investors such as Soros, Buffet, and Rogers are doing and that is investing in farmland.
"Returns from farmland have trounced those of equities." says Ceres Partners co-founder Perry Vieth. Investors Galore.... A George Soros fund owns over 20% of a farmland company, Adecoagro. Warren Buffett says farmland better than gold. Jim Rogers says buy where it rains and find a farmer that can run the farm right. The article covers George Soros and Jim Rogers investing strategy and holdings for farmland. “Farmland is the lowest-risk part of the value chain, but it’s also a key part of production,” says Jose Minaya The fall of the dollar and the bubble issue for farmland prices is discussed.
