Staging does dress up a home for sale. Did you ever think about leaving home without looking your best? Maybe you had a bad hair day or your clothes were really not put together properly. Did you feel like you were on top of your best game that day?

I don't know about you, but I don't feel up to my best when I am am not totally put together when doing business. Studies have found, when employees dress up for work, their production improves. It has to do with looking sharp and feeling sharp- your actions will follow your feelings. Often people or clients will unfortunately make an opinion of you based upon that first impression. So putting your best foot forward works for us. Some companies are re-thinking the work dress code again. Long gone are the days of the casual dress work environment?

Well the same goes for a home that is for sale. Staging a home for sale, is similar to dressing for success. If you want some serious buyer action, then stage your home for success! First impressions are just that. Once a home is listed, it is imperative that it is dressed for success.

FISBO sellers are starting to stage and see the importance. I just did my first FISBO consultation today and he was convinced that he had to stage to keep up with the homes listed by Realtors.

This seller had some pieces of furniture that we used in this vacant staging project. She had an old sofa that had stains on it. No Problem- I brought in my sofa cover and for a minimal cost, we had a beautiful sofa. I used a glass top on put in on an ottoman. A couple of accessories that were brought in to create the look we wanted, an up-scale modern home that would attract any buyer! Staging does not have to be expensive. With some creativity a stager can help you create that warm feeling that says- "Honey I want this house!"
