The real estate market in Northeast PA around Lake Wallenpaupack is primarily a vacation home market. While there are, naturally, sales of year round homes, first time home buyers, etc., the majority of our sales are for second homes. Many times the buyers make a trip here to Wayne or Pike County to see several homes in one day before heading back home - which could be two or three hours away - or more. I belong to a message board for real estate agents. Occasionaly, new users sign up and ask for "new" marketing ideas. With the real estate market being as slow as it is, I can understand that. First thing I suggested was to re-evaluate the price and make sure it matches the market. If the price is lowered then it could automatically alert those who have been looking for a home in a lower price range.
