Has Your High School Senior Just Graduated ? Now Might Be A Great Time to Move ! - 06/30/10 10:47 PM
There are many times throughout the year when folks feel it might be just the right time to move. Perhaps right after the Holidays, perhaps then the leaves begin to fall and it looks like an early Winter. There are many times when it feels like it's time. One of those times, I have seen in the past with many families, is during the Summer when their High School Senior graduates in June, and is headed off to college. Of course, there's that extra room, now. You know... the one she never wanted to clean up. It's empty, now. But, maybe (18 comments)
This is a beautiful home in the Signature of Solon. The price has just been reduced from $849,000 to $819,000, a must see. My name is Roger Mucci, of Shaken... with a Twist... stager/decorator, and I will be present at the Open House. This is one of the homes that I staged most recently. Come take a look and see what I can do for one of your listings.

Tax Credit Closing Extension is DEAD... for now. - 06/26/10 03:22 AM
If you, or one of your Realtor friends, have one of those $8,000 Federal Tax Credit sales in the pipeline, and are hoping that it closes by June 30th... ya better light several candles, and get out your rosary beads... NOW. Right now, the program deadline for getting those sales closed and funded... is June 30th. If you are nursing along one of those sales... and if your buyer's or seller's loan needs more time... like into July, or even further... as I said... right now that extension bill... is dead. The latest from the United States Senate shows that the (65 comments)
Ribs and Cherry Pie - 06/25/10 08:53 PM
I love cherry pie. I mean, I rrrreally love cherry pie. I could probably eat cherry pie for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And maybe a late-night snack, as well.
I can remember when I was little... whenever Mom was making some sort of dessert... I would do whatever I could to get her to make a cherry pie. Sometimes my bribery even worked. Yum ! I know someone... his name is Mark. Mark... loves ribs. Mark could eat ribs for breakfast... he could eat ribs for lunch... he could eat ribs for dinner. And maybe a late-night snack, as (36 comments)
To My Dad... On Father's Day - 06/20/10 12:58 PM
Every year since I have been on Active Rain, I have shared something about my Dad with my friends here. Today is Father's Day. I so wish I could spend it with my Dad... and wish him Happy Father's Day. Dad has been gone for 22 years now. I miss him so. Here is one of my favourite stories about him. I hope you enjoy it. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Euclid, actually. I was about to start my Senior year in high school. I had turned sixteen the previous February, in my Junior year. All my friends had been (48 comments)
Karen Anne... The Midnight Blogger... - 06/16/10 02:27 AM
Once again... it is late at night. This time... it's a Tuesday night, Wednesday morning. Since I really don't have anywhere else I need to be right now... this is where you can probably find me. At my blogging desk. Why am I up so late... blogging ? Well... you see... I have this kitty. Her name is Mollie T. She likes to take naps during the daytime. And... she has made me a definite convert to her way of thinking, and of conserving energy. So... with those "napping with Mollie T" sessions during the day... who can sleep at night (12 comments)
Mollie T Held Captive ! Help Me Take Back my Warm Spot ! - 06/15/10 09:49 PM
This is Mollie T. About a week ago, My Mother, Karen Anne Stone , wrote a post about me. I'm "the baby," I'm the kitty cat... Mollie T. The post she wrote was titled Let Sleeping Cats Lie... If You Know What's Good For You... . If you saw that post... you know how hard I was trying to thaw out. I was THIS CLOSE... to being frozen from the nearly Arctic temperatures my Mother keeps... in "her" apartment. Well... what poor me thought could NEVER get worse... Did ! My mother, as some of you may know, has been living (15 comments)
Pretty Blue Flower... or Is It a Weed ? Perhaps the Answer is in the Eyes of the Beholder... - 06/14/10 12:29 AM
Sometimes those who search for happiness... travel all over the globe in to find it. Perhaps happiness may not be found by "seeing new places" but by seeing "with different eyes. Take this flower, for example. Is it a pretty blue flower ? When seen in this light, it sure seems to be. Perhaps, though, for some others who see it "in a different light"... it may simply be a dandelion. It's the same thing each time. The same image... just accompanied by a different thought. It is quite a powerful talent to have... to be able to look at things (28 comments)
Sink or Swim... With Mollie T - 06/11/10 06:29 PM
There are so many times... in daily life, in real estate... or in other areas of our lives... that the time comes when we finally just have to grab the old "bull by the horns." Let's see. What else can we call it ? Do the right thing ? Take command ? Shove it out on the lake and see if it floats ? Run it up the flag pole and see if anyone salutes ? Well... when I got home from Kroger today... buying cat food and other necessities... there she was. Miss Mollie T. She told me how (25 comments)
Let Sleeping Cats Lie... If You Know What's Good For You... - 06/09/10 10:25 PM
To say I like to keep it cold in my apartment... would be something of an understatement. Just ask Mollie T. Miss Mollie, you see, prefers it to be more than a tad warmer than I do. But... since I pay the TXU electric bill... I control the thermometer. I have, however... come home unannounced at times... and found Miss Mollie T trying to get one of her little kittie-fingers on the thermometer button that raises the temperature. When I catch her in the act... she just grouses loudly, and then mumbles something about being ticked-off because she doesn't have an (12 comments)
Lucy Guards the Fridge... Playing Hardball and Losing Weight... - 06/09/10 09:13 PM
Well... the way I look at it... I've got no choice. None. Sure... she's got a smile on her face... NOW ! But don't let that fool ya. This Chick Plays Hardball when it comes to Aunt Karen's Diet ! Ya see... the last time I went to see my Cardiologist at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth... he dropped it on me. Yes, it was a follow-up visit. And yes... he ran the tests, checked my five medications... tinkered with the doses... and then hit me with it. I needed to lose weight. How much, I asked ? As (18 comments)
Newbie Active Rainers... How do YOU Feel... When You make a Comment on a Post... and the Writer Ignores you ? - 06/08/10 07:27 PM
I went to this party last night. Oh... the home it was held at was really nice. Great area. And... the other guests at the party seemed really nice. I guess I was in a bit more of a talkative mood that usual. Mostly, I am on the shy side, but I decided to take a chance here. After I was there long enough to feel "at ease" with being there... I walked up to one woman... and smiled. I had a glass of white zinfandel in my hand. I said to her... "this is a really nice gathering. The food (65 comments)
June 6... and Memories of My Dad... - 06/06/10 03:39 PM
It's funny how things happen. And when. For much of last night, and much of this morning, I spent quite a bit of time thinking about my Dad. I found myself on YOU TUBE... listening to some of the songs that were popular in the 1940's... when my Dad was in his early 20's and my mom was two years younger than that. There were so many songs there... songs that surrounded Dad and Mom... way back then. I was mostly listening to songs from WW2. My Day was "over there" when I was born early in 1944. I have a (51 comments)
