Letting Go of the Mental $ on Your Home - 08/30/10 04:01 PM

As a professional Realtor, it seems that when I visit with someone about their home, they always have a value in mind that their home is worth.  The value invariably is that of the peak of the market.  So for example, if at the peak their home would have sold for $1 million, but values are down 15% from peak, the current value of their home is probably $850,000.  The letting go of that “lost” mental money on their home is painful.  Of course letting go of anything lost is difficult, whether the loss is perceived or real, but it … (5 comments)

Now that they … (2 comments)
