home stager atlanta: 1970's Traditional Formal Living Room Doesn't Need To Be Road Kill - 05/15/10 11:25 AM
Years ago, when I was giving my son a ride to elementary school, he asked me, "Mom why did the chicken cross the road?" I said, "I don't know, Aaron. Why did the chicken cross the road?" Aaron said, "To show the possum it could be done!" Let me show you just how insightful my son was coming up with this clever yarn. When I go visit a vacant home to prepare my proposal I am ALWAYS confident staging will make a huge difference. That is the case for this home that Peachtree Home Staging just staged in Decatur, GA, an In-Town Atlanta

home stager atlanta: Hey, float my boat, flip my skirt, whatever, I wanna be french! - 10/14/08 11:32 PM
I love, absolutely love, VIGNETTES. This is a post I have been wanting to do for quite some time and it isn't new news -- just fun news! I've been having fun lately and have been blessed with a lot of fun staging opportunities. During this time I have been collecting vignettes for my web site. I always provide these to RE's and sellers as they are great for their use as well. I am certainly not a photogragher, but I gotta admitt, they do make me warm and fussy! I am smiling!

home stager atlanta: a little property in a big way - 10/05/08 09:09 PM
This home is located in a trendy little neighborhood in Atlanta that has a lot of renovation going on -- I just LOVED staging this investors little bungalow vacant. Just for reference-- living room, dining room, kitchen, one full bath, and 3 bedrooms (one displayed as an office). Enjoy -- here's some of the finished results . . . just too cute; don't ya' think? And, here's the best -- don't ya' just love a great jigsaw puzzle? Know your demographics; know the area of Atlanta or the city,

home stager atlanta: Home Staging Extreme! - 10/02/08 08:51 AM
I am so excited about what is happening in the home staging industry. Coming from a Real Estate background, most all of my early-on posts when first joining Active Rain were dedicated to empowering Realtors and Home sellers on the value of home staging. Well, by George, I think they've got it! The last week in September was exceptional for me and Peachtree Home Staging. We staged 2 vacants that really makes the point! First we staged a small renovated home in Atlanta that's listing for $150,000 -- just precious Then we

home stager atlanta: Great Press -- Write it Right! - 10/01/08 03:59 PM
I had the pleasure of staging a vacant vacation home "to stay" for Peter Bilodeau and his wife Barbara. Peter has 32 years in the newspaper industry and was with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for many years. Now Peter spends his time as a free lance writer. Peter recently wrote the article below that is being published in late October here in a local magazine. But first, please note today's featured vocabulary home staging word: teeming teeming -- abounding or swarming with something ~~~ MAKING YOUR HOUSE PERFORM By Peter Bilodeau A new house is an empty stage. You want your house to perform,

Man -- it's a tough HOME STAGING world out there! I am constantly loading and unloading; packing and unpacking; up the stairs, down the stairs; stuff to haul into the car, stuff to haul out of the car, driving stuff there, driving stuff back; removing labels, re-labeling, constantly labeling bagging and unbagging; boxing inventory, unboxing inventory, re-boxing inventory; HOME STAGING HAS NO TIME FOR CAT NAPS!!!! AND THAT'S WHEN I DECIDED TO FIRE MY HELP!

home stager atlanta: "JUST MAYBE" This is Good Advice for Home Sellers - 06/27/08 12:28 PM
So it's time to move! Time to sell the old homestead! Wow, maybe you sensed it was coming. Obviously the home is now too small for your growing family. Or, maybe it is too big now that the kids have grown up and moved out. Or maybe it is too small because the kids have grown up, moved out, had their own kids and now there is more family than ever! Maybe it's time to move, because you want different schools for the kids. Do the In-Laws need a suite that your current home does not provide? Maybe the company has

home stager atlanta: Is Your Listing An Idol Or Just Idle? - 06/16/08 10:30 PM
I am what I call, a true "American Idol" fan, and also, a true "So You Think You Can Dance" fan. What I mean by "true" is I could care less about the auditions and all the pre-season wet noodles - give me meat and potatoes - give me talent - ooh and ah me; that's what I want! So, I do not start watching either show weekly until the finalist have all been chosen. Then, from week to week, I love watching them mature; rise to the challenge; mold their presentation to captivate loyal fans and nurture votes that single

home stager atlanta: Have You Been To Home Stager's Heaven? - 06/04/08 03:11 PM
I just came from home stager's heaven . . . well, actually I was in Atlanta, but it must have resembled home stager's heaven, because I had the opportunity to exercise my talents to create a lovely atmosphere in this already charming home! I'm not sure what seemed so magical to me . . . I staged it in a day. It was just me; no one to share company with; but it was pure pleasure. My enthusiasm was at a high; I was totally at peace and enjoying the tasks at hand! I always am quite enthusiastic about my work, whether it

home stager atlanta: To WOW = Know your real estate market and demographics! - 05/27/08 09:16 PM
Extra space in a home, an over-sized room, a unique condition or feature . . . all of these things in a home get me pumped up to do something distinctive. I always use good taste, but I like to apply an unexpected or memorable visual for home buyers, helping them realize this space could be theirs to enjoy on a daily basis! Generally, in a very short period of time I can create a unique presentation. I find it a challenge and the end result rewarding! With so many homes on the market, a staged home has the opportunity to create a

home stager atlanta: Mr. McDreamy, the Narrator Is Back! - 05/13/08 05:09 PM
A few weeks back I wrote a post here on AR: Why I Market My Staging with Integrity In the post I included this statistic: Under contract in less than two weeks; 3 offers were received; 2 were at full price; sold for $30,000 more than any other house in the neighborhood. Professionally Home Staged by Peachtree Home Staging. Then I let you click the Icon to view the Video included in this post. While everyone was so kind to rant and rave regarding my talents as a home stager; most everyone also commented on Mr. McDreamy, the narrator. Having good fortune, I just

home stager atlanta: Understanding Home Staging - 04/14/08 10:16 AM
Does any one understand what home staging and redesign means? It seems to me that home staging and redesign gets a lot of press as it is in the media and, of course, the wave of HGTV shows that exhibit the how to's and benefits. But even with that, I am convinced that Home Stagers wanting to be successful in the business have to educate the public continually. Case in point, I was at a party the other night and a friend told me she was going to be putting her home on the market. She proceeded to ask me
