The process of engaging in professional Home Staging for your occupied home and the process of engaging in a professional massage for your aches and pains have some similarities.
Some people just melt into a ball of butter at the very thought of relaxing in the soothing expertise that pours from the hands of the trained massage therapist.
Others, well, not so much.
They tighten up just at the thought of a strangers hands kneading and knuckling their muscles under bare exposure!

Lesson 1: No posted pictures = a no show

This week I have had a couple of staging consultation appointments that have beckoned me to seek opinions from stagers and realtors. First I'll lay out the scenario; summarize my concern; and then follow up with my opinion.
Scenario: In both cases the homes have been listed for quite some time (more than 6 months.) In one case, (I will refer to as STAGE 1) the homeowner still occupies the home. In the other case, (STAGE 2) the homeowners have already bought new property and have moved out, leaving the home vacant. STAGE 1 has lowered their price $15,000 and STAGE 2 … (14 comments)
