I received an e-mail from a Realtor. It read . . .
"Hi there,
I have a listing located at 1368 Ormewood Ave, Atlanta, Ga 30316. Beautiful down-to-the-studs renovation. We have had fabulous showings but not offers! We've been the bridesmaid to two other homes that were picked (funnily enough they were staged).
My sellers and I would like to look into staging. Is this something you can talk to me about?

Walking into homes as a stager we are required to find simple and fulfilling solutions to the homes awkward and unfulfilling problems. This can sometimes leave us perplexed thinking to ourselves "What were they thinking in 1952 when they designed this house; there is no good furniture placement to watch T.V.?" Silly really, since in 1952 T.V.'s were up and coming with all 3 offered channels and not in every home. Not like today's new construction homes that have entertainment centers built in with room for a 56" television. We chose to hang Art to Demo the TV placement.

About 3 weeks ago, one of my vacant stagings was of a super cute 1950's updated home in a trendy area of Smyrna, GA close to the Vinings area. It was on the market for a couple of weeks prior to contacting Peachtree Home Staging. As it was explained to me, instead of posting photos of the vacant property at the time of listing, they choose to publish some older photos they had from the previous renters living in the home.

I visited this "vacant" condo one afternoon to prepare a quote for Peachtree Home Staging to present to the seller. As you can see from the photos below, it may be "VACANT"; but there was a lot of activity going on!

This house captured my heart the first time I saw it! The home was vacant, but I immediately saw my presentation!
It's not fancy or high end. It's comfy, charming, and quite livable. The condition of the home is impeccable . . . the very defintiion of "well-maintained".
So there are all those tax credits for first time homebuyers, which is ANY ONE, really, who hasn't owned a home in the last three years.

Peachtree Home Staging recently provided home staging services, furnishings, and accessories for a vacant condo located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. Buckhead is conveniently located near Midtown and Downtown Atlanta.
The owner of the condo lives out of town and had to trust we'd get the job done right. We finished up and sent photos last week and the owner paid a personal visit to the property this past weekend. Here is the e-mail we received back:

I am what I call, a true "American Idol" fan, and also, a true "So You Think You Can Dance" fan.

I just came from home stager's heaven . . . well, actually I was in Atlanta, but it must have resembled home stager's heaven, because I had the opportunity to exercise my talents to create a lovely atmosphere in this already charming home! I'm not sure what seemed so magical to me . . . I staged it in a day. It was just me; no one to share company with; but it was pure pleasure. The process of engaging in professional Home Staging for your occupied home and the process of engaging in a professional massage for your aches and pains have some similarities.
Some people just melt into a ball of butter at the very thought of relaxing in the soothing expertise that pours from the hands of the trained massage therapist.
