BRAC Brings Needed Road Improvements To Eastern Fairfax County Virginia - 10/18/08 03:09 PM
For years those of us in Eastern Fairfax County have struggled with the inconvenience of the Fairfax County Parkway terminating at the Franconia-Springfield Parkway. Old Manassas Courthouse Prince William County Virginia - 10/04/08 02:05 PM
Prince William County has always played a major role in the development of Virginia and our country continuing to this day.  The courthouse featured in this report was the fifth such building in the county.  The first four courthouses were in Woodbridge, Cedar Run, Dumfries and BRENTSVILLE.  Manassas was at the junction of two area railroads (the reason for two Civil War battles) and grew rapidly after the cessation of hostilities.  That accelerated growth made it feasible to move the county government westward again. The new courthouse was opened at the corner of Lee and Grant Avenues in 1893.  It continued … (0 comments)
