This is cherry blossom season in the National Capital Area. Unlike the evergreen these very lovely, but frail beauties have a peak lifespan of a week at the most. Strong wind and heavy rain can shorten that dramatically. It is our good fortune this year to have the blossoms at peak over Passover and Easter with a forecast for sunny and warm weather. Tourists will not be disappointed. Obviously, the evergeen trudges on 365 days a year and has its' moments of fame during winter snows.
