The first of 700 homes in Waynewood were delivered in the early 60's and were extremely well crafted by Gosnell Builders. A very attractive feature is that many of the split level homes have a fourth upper level which is a walk-in standup attic. Waynewood is conveniently located in Mount Vernon along the George Washington Parkway. In addition to the ease of transportation to Washington, DC, the Pentagon and Fort Belvoir, the fact that Waynewood Elementary is in the subdivision is an important resale feature.
