This question was precipitated by an email that I sent to a couple looking for a condo on the beach here in south east Florida. What is your Traditional New Years feast to bring luck and prosperity for 2011?
There are many traditional meals cooked on New Years Day that families hope will bring them prosperity, luck and happiness going into the next year.  Many of these foods are traditional by virtue of ethnicity.
Here are a few that I know about:

What is a S.W.I.F.T. code?  Was a question emailed to me by a customer.  (Note:  I had sent her wiring instructions for her closing and this was not something she was familiar with. Not a native to America, there was a slight language barrier as well.)
My answer to her:
The initials S.W.I.F.T. stand for The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications. While I had not been able to blog this summer due to a car accident, I am now to the point where I can sit and type again.
When I got back on AR, the first and worst thing in the world was that Laurie Manny had passed away, to early in her life. If you had to describe Activerain to your office in 20 minutes or less...What would be your top 5 points to cover?
For me,
#1 Communication and interactions in our community (we are a community).
#2 Information (many posts are informative).
#3 Friendships (are developed and this is how we get referrals).
#4 Real Estate advice (just when you need it... just ask).
#5 Legal advise...then a whole lot more (there are lawyers, appraisers, inspectors,etc here to help you!)

Are you the ghost writer or the owner of your post on AR? Fess up! Just curious to know!  I know many brokers and REALTORS(r) as myself are very busy.  However, I do NOT use a ghost writer to post for me on AR. I might not write until late in the evening ( and I find this relaxing to a point), and I do not use an assistant to write my opinions on AR.
That being said, I would rather not post an opinion if I am busy rather than have an assistant post a comment that might go out … (6 comments)

Mark Madoff,  a father's loss due to his own demise and selfish greed.  I'm glad I am not a product of Bernie Madoffs ponzi scheme. However, I don't know if his son Mark (who hung himself last night with his 2 yo son sleeping in the home) or Andrew his other son were involved in his debacle or not.

Elizabeth Edwards, rest in peace!
Elizabeth Edwards, what a wonderful woman.  She wrote personal diaries from her, to her living children.  Her son Wade passed from a car accident years ago (1996). 
John Edwards, ex-wife was a wonderful woman, a lot more humane than he was.
She was a humanitarian, a cancer advocate, and a loving mother to her children.  I feel sorry for the children in this Holiday time, however her lasting spirit and advocacy for Breast Cancer will live on.
I'm so sorry for her children's loss in this Holiday time.

The slump in the housing market parallels health insurance rates! I think it does. 
 In the last few years, the housing market was at an all time high and now has fallen to a new time low (but I think it has bottomed out in SE FL).  THAT being said, I would like to know what percentage of your current mortgage [if you pay a mortgage or your rent] would pay your health insurance.
