What code do you have to type in to reach me? So many ID codes and so little time - well, guess what, life has changed dramatically in the last 30 years.
It was simple in the past. You went to the bank and the teller's knew who you were. Yes, there was a lot less people living back then, however, now things have changed. Now with people stealing identities, you have to have a code to do everything.

Well, sometimes you just have to go with the flow, I guess...(I love those.....lol).
I wrote an offer last Tuesday. The time for acceptance was Wednesday at 2 pm. We heard back a counter within the time frame, countered back, they countered, we countered, we received new information, they countered, we countered, more info, and we finally accepted...a week later - VERBALLY!!! My eyes have been teary eyed since I watched the Memorial Service for all of those who have lost a loved one. From the child, to the fiance, to the grandparents of other daughters, sons and grandchildren.
As the President and others came together tonight to honor those who were lost during this fatal shooting last Saturday, I have to say that it is sad that nothing could have been done ahead of time before this mass murderer had his chance to take out 20 people.

When all there is to read are local posts...write a blog. So here goes SHORT SALES! Short Sales are a horrid word to many Real Estate agents, WHY? The unknown or lack of experience therein to know exactly how to write the contract to suit the bank, what addendums to use and sometimes the unknown.
That being said, how many of you are fearful when you have a listing that goes to short sale, or a referral from a friend, previous buyer, or a new customer?

What is an Amendatory clause? My customer asked. The mortgage broker called and told my customer that he needed her to sign an Amendatory clause for the borrower. Before my customer signs any paperwork, she always called me first to make sure she understood what she was signing and why.

It's taken a little time, however, the time blogging here on AR has been well worth my while.
I have received 6 referrals in the last 2 months through my friends here on AR.
They have come from California...Chicago, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Two have even come from Canada.
What is important here on AR is the interactions, emails, and conversations that result in friendships you probably would never have had without Active Rain.

I don't want to do a "take away," I don't to use conventional tactics to make a sale...I just want my customer to fell comfortable in the transaction.
I want my customers to do what they feel is best for them. I don't use the conventional sales tactics, which is probably why, I don't like to go to sales classes.

Referrals work, I just executed a contract tonight thanks to a referral.
There is nothing better than having another agent refer to you a fantastic customer...nothing better than having a qualified buyer...nothing better than dealing with another astute agent.
Yes, things are tough out there, however, people continue to have to relocate for jobs. People continue to relocate for family situations (retirement, family, and such).
Having other agents trust you, give you referrals...and trust you do seal the deal seem to be few and far between.

I was so aggravated today. I have made over 15 call's to various agents to get showing instructions!
Three have called me back, 2 agents actually answered their phones. One yelled at me and was telling me I had to call someone else b/c the rental he had was now a short sale. Hello, this is not MY FAULT!
