While I personally love a color filled home while dwelling, for selling it often becomes one of the biggest objections however it's one of the easiest to overcome.

Whether you’re selling a home or dwelling in one, porch appeal is always a plus! So I decided to punch up my own last weekend. The weather was great and pumpkins were at Walmart for $3.88 each. But not only because I found cheap pumpkins… It’s my favorite time of year too. I also relish the idea of having passersby enjoy the view of my home on their morning or evening walks. I love looking at my neighbor’s homes as well and what they do and I hope to invigorate and inspire them too. The same sentiment should be said about prospective home buyers too.

For this dining room the “staging” was actually done prior to my initial home staging consultation. But that was part of the problem.
In a well-intentioned effort to stage their own home without the assistance of a professional home stager, the sellers of this Frisco, TX home unfortunately went over board and the room was too decluttered in the initial go-round for sale. Under the helm of their new Realtor Home Star Staging was called in to consult with and help them revive the then off- the-market listing.

I arrived today to a vacant property staging preview for a home to be listed for sale in Plano, TX knowing full well the owners were leaving for their new destination tomorrow. However, I was under the assumption (based on my conversation with the listing agent) that I was only there for a rental furniture and accessory staging bid.
Wrong.

One of the sticking points I've always had about whether I should take courses of any kind (college level, continuing education, enrichment, career building etc.) are the fees associated with them and if they would truly be worth my investment of time and money and give me a return on that investment?
