How can Investors Work with Realtors? Many investors feel resentment toward Realtors. They feel that Realtors possess little knowledge and have a single focus – commissions. Why? I hope you've read the post by Sean O'Carroll NAR advises agents not to sell to "Flippers" because it benefits only the investor? I really appreciated him bringing this to everyone's attention. I do not understand why the NAR would make such a recommendation. I am an investor. I have purchased roughly 130 properties in the past few years. Many of them are flips. OK, so here's the thing.. I'm an investor. I am not a Realtor. Everything I buy and sell is my own. I have purchased about 120 properties in the past 4 years. Rarely is a Realtor involved. However, anytime a Realtor is involved, I gladly pay the commission. I always have my for sale properties listed on the MLS, mostly so buyers can find them on Listing Book. Years ago, it was rare for a Realtor to show one of my listings. Rumor had it that Realtors didn't like working with investors or "for-sale-by-owners" as we're often known. Today, I get
