My Temple, GA short sale has a closing date!  Yes, that's right.  I have an approval and a closing date of on or before June 15.
We started the short sale journey in November of 2010.  We had one buyer walk away, but the current buyer loves the house, knows he is getting a great home at a great price, and is committed 100% to getting to closing.
Although theshort sala journey has been long, and emotionally painful, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Tallapoosa Possum Pickin Saturday, May 21 - 05/20/11 05:00 PM
Saturday May 21 at 7:00pm the Tallapoosa Downtown Dev. group will host "Possum Pickin"  The possum pickin is an evening of blue grass music on Head Ave in Tallapoosa. Blue grass musicians from all over the area come out and play on the 3rd Saturday night from May through September, and sometimes during October. 
 
There is no fee to attend, just bring your own chair.  A concession stand is available, or you can bring your own refreshments.  No alcohol is allowed
 
If you like bluegrass, come on out to Possum Pickin this Saturday night.

Who is Herman Cain?  Why is he going to be in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, May 21? 
 
Herman Cain is a former goernment employee, a private industry business man with experience in turn-around, a motivational speaker, a former evening talk show host on WSB radio out of Atlanta, GA, and a possible candidate for President of the United States.
 
He is not a politician.  He is a citizen with good commoon sense, who appears dedicated to reminding Americans of the things that make America great.  He thinks that the best way to do that is to be elected President.

What would happen if everyone had to have 20% down to buy a house?
Many agents are thinking about this I'm sure, since NAR is sending out emails encouraging Realtors to contact their representatives and moan about how this would harm the industry.
I don't think the govt. will ever get out of the housing subsidy business.  I gives them too much control over housing, and too much control over lenders.
But, just pretend for a moment that the U.S. homebuyer was savvy enough to realize the importance of sound financial management. Everyone worked out a budget, paid the bills on … (6 comments)
