Newlyweds say “I DO” to FHA Bridal Registry Gift Funds - 06/29/11 11:59 AM
Rebekah Radice has info for soon to be marrieds.  Instead of another toaster, how about money for your home down payment?  Rebekah has found a little known FHA program that allows guests to give money to a bridal registry for the FHA downpayment.  What a great program!
If you are in west GA or east AL call me and I will help you get more information on this program.

A Doctor's Advice For Purchasing A Home? - 06/25/11 02:43 PM
David Burrows from Annandale, VA shares some advice on purchasing a home.  Things in the mortgage industry have changed dramatically over the last 6 years.  It is more important than everr to meet with a mortgage lender and have the lender do a "diagnosis" of your ability to qualify for the home you want, before you find it.

I have a friend who is a doctor. We were sitting having lunch a while back and I was sharing about another friend of mine who has something going on physically. My doctor friend, after I paused for a moment, … (1 comments)

The Kitchen Thing - 06/19/11 10:19 PM
J. Philip Faranda has a wonderful point of view on really incredible kitchens, and life in general.  He is a broker/owner serving Westchester county and metro New York.
Granite counters do not make a house a home.  I hope you enjoy this wonderful post.
Via J. Philip Faranda (J. Philip R.E. LLC) Westchester County NY:
I have seen some REALLY incredible kitchens in my time.
Some of them were in foreclosed homes. The poor slob who spent $20,000-$30,000 on an amazing kitchen simply primed the pump for the next guy. Sad.
And this leads me to the question: how many people who are … (2 comments)

Real Estate Landmines---Surefire Deal-breakers and Undisclosed Discoveries - 06/13/11 10:06 PM
These are some great tips from Norma Toering on how to avoid real estate landmines when buyers are out looking at homes.  Time spent during the due diligence period can pay off when a buyer knows how to recognize a few "red flags".

One thing I know for sure is real estate agents and buyers must sharpen their detective skills during the due diligence discovery time-frame.  Trust, but verify is a good adage to base your business or purchase on if you want to avoid real estate … (3 comments)

The Price is WRONG Bob! - 06/11/11 12:45 PM
This is a great commentary on "getting the price right" by Liz and Bill Spear in Ohio.  The average homeowner has no idea about proper pricing, especially with the tremendous price drops experienced in many areas.  If you are thinking about selling in Tallapoosa, GA or anywhere in Haralson or Carroll counties, call me and we can work together to make sure we get the price RIGHT instead of WRONG.

Home Staging Tip - Hiding Techno Clutter - 06/01/11 10:28 AM
I know I have too many cords, chargers, etc. cluttering up my kitchen counter.  They are always a tangled mess.  Sharon Tara Transformations gave me a great hint I wanted to share...
Via Sharon Tara New Hampshire Home Stager (Sharon Tara Transformations):

We all have them…unsightly techno gadgets cluttering up our kitchen counters. Technology is great, but the chargers and plugs can add up.  Most Home Staging consults I’ve done have involved dealing with cordless phones, cell phones and phone chargers.
Sellers would prefer to avoid the inconvenience of having to relocate their phones while their house is on the market.
