Real Estate Prices Continue To Climb "As home sales moderate, overall home prices will be essentially flat this year," says David Lereah, chief economist for the National Association of Realtors. Tighter lending standards are expected to slow sales, but the good news is, inventory remains well below the levels seen in the real estate downturn of the early 1990's.
The King County and Snohomish County housing markets are both experiencing a slow down in sales, but prices and inventory continue to climb. Let's look at the numbers.

A few months ago I blogged about a senior mobile home park in Lynnwood that was being bought out by developers, thus displacing the residents of their low income housing.
Well, Aaron Reardon, County Executive for Snohomish County, approved an ordinance that provides a contingent loan guarantee to bond offerings of the Housing Authority of Snohomish County to purchase two senior mobile home parks in Lynnwood.  The acquisition cost of the two parks is $10.2 million. Because the County has a strong bond rating, the loan guarantee saved approximately $500,000 on the total cost of the project, Reardon said,  lowering the rent rates for … (3 comments)

Just am faxing two offers, entering a listing and watching the Championship Basketball game with my Beloved Ohio State Buckeyes playing.  My late husband was a true fan through and through but didn't live to see the football championship game or this one. He passed in November.  However, I think he's looking down from above.
