childrens hospital and regional medical center seattle: Isn't Life Precious - 10/13/07 01:39 PM

I was just doing some networking calling clients and one of my clients alerted me that one of our mutual friends was in distress this week.
It seems her grandson who lives in Montana had a seizure. There are no facilities there that could help him. They airlifted him to Children's Hospital in Seattle where he underwent surgery this week for a brain tumor.
In speaking with my client she raved about the great care he received and what a wonderful hospital Children's was. I reminded her that Children's is my charity and that each home I list and sell a portion … (0 comments)

Dave Lininger, founder of RE/MAX International spent $1,000,000 at an auto auction over the weekend. You ask what could be worth $1,000,000 and why.
Lininger bought a Hummer used by CNN to cover the war in Iraq. The proceeds from this sale will go to the Fisher House Foundation, who temporarily house families of patients receiving major medical care in military hospitals and Veterans Affairs facilities.
Lininger is a Viet Nam Veteran himself and has created a new foundation called Sentinels of Freedom, aimed at helping disabled soldiers get back to a "normal life".
