everett herald: Largest County Wide Open House - April 18 and 19 - Snohomish County, WA - 04/13/09 04:11 PM
The Snohomish County Camano Association of Realtors is planning a county-wide open house this weekend, April 18 and 19. This worked so well last year, we had over 400 houses open and an increase in pending sales in August over the year before, they decided to do it again after surveying their members. There will be special advertising in the Everett Herald, for all REALTOR® listings. REALTOR® balloons, buyer handouts will be available explaining financing and most especially information on the $8000 tax stimulus for first time home buyers (defined as anybody who has not owned a home in the

everett herald: Changing Times or Not? - 02/03/09 05:37 PM
Having just cleaned out my desk recently with my new business plan in place, I found an old newspaper, The Everett Herald, from March 1992. The headlines read: "Boeing Gives Layoff Slips to 3,000"; "Unemployment rate rises to highest level in more than six years" - 7.3%. And then I compare the headlines with a more recent post February 2009: "Boeing Gives Layoff Notices to 6,000", Unemployment rate rises to 7.1% in Snohomish County in December 2008". everett herald: Move to The Pacific Northwest - "A Great Time to Buy" - 10/08/07 06:54 PM
Last week Forbes magazine declared the housing market in the Seattle area the most stable in the nation. Even though home sales in Snohomish County dropped 31 percent from a year ago, we just have about four months worth of inventory, which is NORMAL. For the past three years Snohomish County has seen prices rise up to 18% percent and listings getting multiple offers that drove the prices above true market value. We

everett herald: Husky or Cougar - 09/03/06 03:34 PM
You'd think I was talking about a visit to the Seattle Zoo by my title. Not, actually people here are either Cougars or Huskies based on their collegiate preference. You see, the Cougars are the Washington State University Team, otherwise known as, Wazzu. The Hukies are the University of Washington team, otherwise known as, U of Dub! This rivalry has been going on since early mankind. The culmination is the Apple Cup held each November as the two teams face off. So the next time you hear conversation about Wazzu or U of Dub, you'll be educated. Now back to baseball ----
