waterfront: New Housing in Snohomish County - 07/26/06 09:50 PM
It was reported in the local newspaper by Jeff Switzer  "that a while back people would have laughed to hear it costs a half million dollars for a new house in Snohomish County."  Well, we must be in a time warp because that time is here. New signage for a development reads "From the $500,000's". This is  2500 sq. ft. home that sits on one-tenth of an acre, NO WATERFRONT, NO VIEW. Lot costs are averaging $230,000 in our county.

We are so lucky to live in a wonderful location.  As in real estate the key words are location, location, location; I think the same is true in our every day life.  Just look around you, tall evergreens, blue sky, Puget Sound, mountains, snow capped peaks dot our landscape. Even the rainy days are great. Farmer's Market, concert on the piers, fabulous restaurants, a budding downtown that is growing with waterfront opportunities, an event center that rivals large town centers, a beautiful naval base of which we can be proud, do we take these for granted? The fun part is you don't know … (0 comments)
