Looking for good websites to market real estate listingsHi everyone, I am currently in seek of additional websites to market my Saskatoon real estate listings that I am currently carrying. The Saskatoon real estate market is one of the hottest markets in Canada and North America. As a result we have seen a large number of investors approach us from all of Canada and the world. I want to find some additional sites to start marketing some of the properties I am working with to gain maximum exposure. My current Saskatoon real estate website has listing information I would like for these sites to link back for more in depth information. Date: May 15, 2008 Kari Calder How Fast Can Your Website Drop In Rankings?The Saskatoon real estate market has been extremely so far in 2008 and unfortunately it has left me with little time to continue to blog and put effort into my website. Today I checked my google rankings and was sad to see that my ranking had dropped about 6 spots. Is this common for people to drop this much? The last time I checked was about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately during that time I haven't had free time to spend updating my website which I know that I must do moving forward. I am finding the time I spent early on in my website is paying off very well as I have earned a lot of business from the exposure my website has gained although it's a double edge knife. The more business I get, the less time I have to put towards my website to make sure it holds its ranking. Any information or experience people may have for balancing the updating of your website and the busy schedule of a real estate agent would be greatly appreciated. Also any information on how much your website should fluctuate in google rankings would be great! Kari Calder Wesley Snipes Jailed For Not Paying Taxes?!?!Please give me your thoughts on this, but when I hear this I think it is absurd. Murderers and rapists have been known to spend less time in jail and he is being sentenced for THREE YEARS for not paying his taxes. I know that some people call this stealing and I don't disagree, but at the same time the government always knows how to get their money and can keep track of how much he owes, it isn't like he ran off with it, so I don't agree with the sentence handed out to him. I think the jails need to be reserved for the real criminals out there, or at least the ones that endanger the rest of us. Give him a fine, make him pay double to set a precedent. I think that would serve him and the public much better than by using the taxes he failed to pay to feed and put a roof over his head! I am interested to hear anyone else's thoughts on that as maybe it is my Canadian ignorance, but I just don't see the point when there are far worse criminals out there who are running free. I write information that is relevant on the day to day happenings on the Saskatoon real estate market as well provide information about news that is happening in the city of Saskatoon and the province of Saskatchewan. Now that I have started to develop some content on my blog I want to start posting this information so that it gets circulated as much as possible. The Saskatoon real estate market is the fastest growing market in Canada as well the Saskatchewan economy is leading Canada. Kari Calder Presentation Of OffersThe Saskatoon real estate market has started off on record pace yet again for 2008. Last year our real estate market grew at an incredible rate and already this year we are starting to see higher growth compared to the same time last year. The Saskatoon Realty market is definitely a sellers market right now. There is a huge shortage of housing and as a result homes are being purchased sight unseen in some cases. Another popular trend that has caught on is "Presentation of Offers". I am curious if other real estate agents have experience this? We started seeing presentation of offers in about May of last year although they disappeared within 4 to 5 months. Since January we have seen this happening again in our market. I am curious for those of you who have dealt with these, what are the most offers you have seen at one time? Recently I saw one home that had over 36 offers that went for over $80,000 over asking price. This isn't the highest one we have had in the Saskatoon real estate market in the past year but it is definitely up there. Kari Calder
Gift Ideas For Real Estate Clients?This is a topic that I have heard mixed reviews on by Realtors. Some real estate agents feel that they do not need to provide their clients a gift as a thank you as they are just doing their job and some Realtors ensure they do it on every deal no matter how small it is. The Saskatoon real estate market is a smaller market with only about 250,000 people living here so I feel it is important that you do everything you can for your clients even if its providing them a small thank you gift. As a new Saskatoon realtor, word of mouth is extremely important and I feel that when doing some nice for your clients they will be sure to tell their friends. I have always provided my clients a gift as I am thankful for them trusting me in one of the biggest transactions in their lives. I have given gifts ranging from gift certificates to restaurants and home design stores to flowers. I always try to match the gift to my clients personality by like most people I do get stumped once in awhile. I am always looking for new and creative gift ideas so I am interested what you as other Realtors do for your clients?
