I am often asked two questions:  "Do you think the Grand Rapids economy will rebound?  Is Grand Rapids going to make it??"  It is with shock that I look at them and wonder if they've been living here at all.
"Look up, for your redemption draweth nigh!"   I've been pondering these words lately, and I find them to be very applicable to the Grand Rapids explosion now taking place.  All one has to do is take a leisurely stroll downtown and look up.....try to locate a building within the $1.1 Billion (that's with a B) of new construction taking place that's not at least 5 … (3 comments)

JW Marriott, Grand Rapids, Michigan - What a Place to Stay! - 11/27/07 07:47 PM
Last Saturday night during my bi-annual ladies night out with my gal pal, we decided to venture downtown having not a clue where we'd entertain ourselves for dinner.  Without much thought, staring at the blue lit building, we decided to venture into the newly opened exclusive JW Marriott for a peek.  What we discovered was much more than entertainment, as we stood in awe of one incredible magnificient masterpiece of design, cool elegance, and international delight.  Let me explain......
