The 11th annual Irish Festival, presented by the The John P. Holland, Div. 4, Ancient Order of Hibernians, is planned for Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine, at the Ship Bottom Boat Ramp parking lot, 10th and Shore Avenue.
Hours of operation will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $10 at the gate. Children 14 and younger, and traveling card-carrying members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, get in for free.

Cattus Island County Park at 1170 Cattus Island Blvd, Toms River, will be holding a Volunteer Naturalist Training seminar from 4/21/14 to 4/24/14. The seminar is free and attendees are encouraged, though not required to attend all 4 sessions. The training is open to any adult interested in learning more about the greater Barnegat Bay estuary.
