We're always talking about how important our appearance is to our business. We should look "professional" at all times--as professional as we can. This doesn't count being at home, kicking back in our old comfy  sweats,  hair pulled up on our head and no make up. Guys, for you, old sweats on and a day of no shaving.   So what about our car? I think cars should look "professional" also. I mean we go to all the trouble of getting ourselves prettied up, then why wouldn't we keep our car as neatly groomed?

OKAY--if you love Artsy stuff, beautifully handed crafted goodies and WINE, then head up to the Sierra Foothills this weekend and enjoy Twain Harte's 30th Annual Arts & Wine Festival. So MUCH fun.  The air is clean, the temp's just right, yummy food,  and the people are wonderful.   AND it's FREE!

Okay--for those of us who love sweet little doo-dads, smileys, glittery stuff and the likes (for our computer use), you'll love this! Instead of your regular pointy arrow (cursor), replace it with one of these. There are MANY!!

How many of you own a Blue Tooth or other hands-free cell phone doo-dad? When they first came out, I remember seeing a woman in a grocery store with this thingamagig in her ear, yapping away to HERSELF.  I was thinking, "Boy, she must be a busy person."   Now looking back, I'm thinking she PROBABLY was.  And she was way ahead of me!   I resisted the hands-free idea for quite some time, for the simple fact I didn't want another electronic contraption to figure out, to deal with, worry about it running down or another expense.  To tell the truth,  I was one of the last … (11 comments)

Our area has several different Caravan days. We call them "up the hill" and "down the hill," due to the elevation in the foothills. We also have our own company meetings and caravan days for our office listings. The MAIN MLS meeting and Caravan day is Tuesday...TODAY!

We all want buyers to stroll into our home and go all goo-goo over it. "Oh my, your house is beautiful. I LOVE everything you've done with it."    But when they do come in and spout out these words, you also want them to MEAN it, regardless if it's a  potential buyer, Realtor coming to do a market analysis or Mrs. Snoopedoddle down the street dropping by to see what's going on. BE prepared for either when you're getting ready to sell.

I thought I'd share a fewof my favorite eateries in, and around, Sonora, in Tuolumne County, California. I LOVE to eat. Now this doesn't make me an expert at restaurants...I just know what I enjoy. Fun and casual and the biggest and BEST onion rings and burgers I've ever eaten are at DIAMONDBACK GRILLI in Sonora.    They don't have a website, yet, BUT don't let that stop you. Yesterday, at our MLS meeting before tour, one of the local lenders stopped by our table to chat. "So," he starts, "I think this market is going to stay this way (down) for another two years."  He's looking at the Realtor to my right, who has been in business in the same office, same area,  for over 20 years. She says, shaking her head, "I think it's going to turn around by October."

I'm NOT. Not sure what I am and,  frankly, I don't want anyone telling me what they think I am. LOL
Anyway, there's been a lot said lately about Active Rain being nothing more than a social blogging platform.  There's a lot of griping and moaning (to put it nicely as I can)  as to its professionalism. Should we have POINTS for comments? DO we really need those dorking contests?  WHY are people blogging/posting about their dogs or rashes on their behinds or weekends sipping margaritas?
