First and for most, go to the ART & WINE FESTIVAL.  This event will be held at the beautiful Tavern Bay Beach Club.  Other happenings include the Mountain Top Hiking Club, a Book signing, Farmers Market and, of course,  SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S FREE LARGEST CONCERT SERIES (June list of concerts).  Check out the Lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce for a complete calendar of events list of the above events.

SAT & SUN, June 21, 22, one of our yearly favorites is the hosted by Lake Arrowhead Rotary. The festival is open from 10 AM - 7 PM on Saturday and 11 AM - 4 PM on Sunday. $5.00 entry.

Saturday, June 13th, 2009, come to the GRAND OPENING OF THE LAKE GREGORY DOG PARK.  Lake Gregory (Crestline) is only a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Lake Arrowhead, so if you're a pooch lover, pop on down and help celebrate the ribbon cutting at 10:00 AM.
Lake Gregory Regional Park is  a public lake for fishing and tiny boats, has a nice sandy beach, swimming area, slides, fitness trail and now the DOG (POOCH) PARK.    The trail (fitness) is a wonderful spot to take your morning or afternoon walk, which takes you completely around the lake... TAVERN BAY BEACH CLUB If you live within "The Woods," then you have "Lake rights" and have the opportunity to pay for a yearly membership (inexpensive) to TAVERN BAY BEACH CLUB, located on the north side of Lake Arrowhead,  across from UCLA Conference Center. It truly is one of the most beautiful settings around.

I even called CALIFORNIA ASSOCATION OF REALTORS (  C.A.R) and the attorney did say it is LEGAL, IF the Realtor has a SIGNED AGREEMENT with the repo bank, though he (the attorney) could see problems arising from it and did bring up the word RESPA.  "Hummm. Always a big hit in Lake Arrowhead, is the ANTIQUE & CLASSIC WOODEN BOAT SHOW! Taking place at The Lake Arrowhead Village, dock side, you can spend hours here viewing the awesome boats and cars, shopping and eating at the many stores and restaurants.
Every year we Southern Californians think the boat show can't get any better, but somehow, it does. This year's show features a large variety of wooden boats from days long past like the Chris Craft, Century, Gar Wood, Thompson, to name a few.

Whenever David and I take a Sunday drive off the mountain, we try and find a local place to visit; Yesterday was no different. This time we discovered a hidden jewel at UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA RIVERSIDE ; Botanic Gardens!
It actually took us a few wrong-turns to get to our destination, as they are nestled in the Box Spring Mountains on some 40 acres overlooking the campus. We bought our parking pass (self ticket machine) and started our adventure through these gardens.
