PLACES TO EAT in LAKE ARROWHEAD
THE GRILL in Twin Peaks. TRUE mountain ambiance.
SADDLEBACK INN in Lake Arrowhead... goes way back to the Hollywood days.
BIN 189 in the RESORT. Now this is what I call FANCY!
CASUAL ELEGANCE in Aqua Fria, is as the name says; Elegant.
BORDERLINE in Cedar Glen; a taste of American and Mexican. (Two of my sons have worked as cooks here long, long ago)
PAPAGAYOS at Lake Arrowhead Village is truly my favorite place to eat (they make a mean margarita!)
BELGIAN WAFFLE WORKS lakeside at The Village. Awesome breakfast and lunch!

food: TODAY IS A DAY TO BE THANKFUL FOR... AND SO SHOULD EVERY DAY--Happy Thanksgiving AR Friends! - 11/27/08 11:30 AM

Though it's foggy and damp outside this morning, I am feeling even more blessed than usual. I am opening the doors of my little cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains to many friends and family, some I haven't seen in years. And that makes it even more special. We'll be crowded, to say the least, but even that makes me smile, as closeness is what the holidays are all about, right?
It's not important that we're dining in a small home. It's not important that the weather is a tad soggy. It's not important if the sweet potato cassorole gets a tiny bit … (28 comments)

food: MY FAV EATERIES IN SONORA, CALIFORNIA & TUOLUMNE COUNTY - 07/20/07 05:54 PM

I thought I'd share a fewof my favorite eateries in, and around, Sonora, in Tuolumne County, California. I LOVE to eat. Now this doesn't make me an expert at restaurants...I just know what I enjoy. FOOD! When you're in the area, check them out.

Fun and casual and the biggest and BEST onion rings and burgers I've ever eaten are at DIAMONDBACK GRILLI in Sonora.    They don't have a website, yet, BUT don't let that stop you. OMG, the food is ALWAYS worth the wait--there usually is a wait.   Located at 110 S Washington St, Sonora, CA 209-532-6661. l MAP TO DIAMONDBACK GRILL  .
