scrotch broom scrub: Scotch Broom Adorns The San Bernardino Mountainside - 06/15/10 09:59 AM

Your Lake Arrowhead Realtor would like to share some local Lake Arrowhead Information with you.
Each year, in late spring, the San Bernardino Mountainside is decorated with the bright yellow Scotch Broom Plant, Except this year, it seems to be thicker and brighter. As I was driving down the mountain yesterday, I took the photo below.
The Scotch Broom is a perennial shrub that is native to western and central Europe, and loves a very sunny spot. The plant likes dryer, sandy soils at lower altitudes.
