FACTS: In April of 1979, The Village was "burned to the ground" as a learning exercise, done by the San Bernardino County Fire Departments and the Air Corps. All buildings were burned except the original dance pavilion building, the post office, bank and real estate office.

FUN: What can I say, with this beautiful weather and fantasic snow, the sun shining, I say; Ski is the key.
FACT: In 1920, The Arrowhead Lake Company bought Little Bear Lake and surrounding approximately 4,800 acres and changed the name to Lake Arrowhead (after the Arrowhead formation on side of the mt). The Lake Company's plan was to develop the mile high man-made lake into a fine recreational and residential area. Between 1921 and 1923, the dam was completed, a road was constructed partially around the north shore of the lake and the Norman-styled village was built. FACT: BLUE JAY was originally called "Wixom Corner." The name was changed in 1924 (to BLUE JAY) the the Post Office was opened. In 1934, Stoney Dement began developing the business center. FUN: The FIRST ice-skating rink in the San Bernardino Mts was built in 1935, in Blue Jay! WINDERMERE FINE PROPERTIES is in the newer building, among other businesses, which was built after the ice rink's roof caved in due to snow (a number of yrs ago) . Today, the public can still have FUN by going to the ICE CASTLE INTERNATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, which is located a short distance from my office. Check their schedule for public skating. When you read about home price statistics, you often find the words: Median and Average. There's a BIG difference!!!
MEDIAN price is the price halfway between the least expensive and most expensive home/s sold in an area during a specific period of time. During that particular period, half the buyers purchased homes that cost more than the median price and half the buyers purchased homes for less than the median price.
Changes in median price measure changes in market activity. When more consumers purchase less expensive homes than consumers purchasing more expensive homes, the median price falls. And, vice versa; when there are more consumers purchasing more expensive homes than there are consumers purchasing less … (0 comments)
