One of the most beautiful areas in Lake Arrowhead, is the UCLA Conference Center across from the Tavern Bay Beach Club. Anytime you come for a visit, these "gentle" Bruin Bears will be there to greet you.

Hear ye...hear ye... This coming Thurdays is Local's Dinner Night at our beautiful UCLA CONFERENCE CENTER here in Lake Arrowhead. Now I don't want to brag (okay, I do), but my youngest is a chef at the Conference Center (10 years now), so I am certain you'll get the best meal ever!
Okay, enough of the mother stuff, here are the details:

If you've never seen UCLA CONFERENCE CENTER, here in Lake Arrowhead, much less dined there, you've missed out on viewing one of the most gorgeous spots here in our mountains. Even before my youngest son (he's a chef) began working there, I was always in awe of this establishment. Whenever I'd have company, UCLA Conference Center was one place I'd take them to see.

ARROWHEAD ART'S MUSIC FESTIVAL is bringing us another great band to enjoy this Thursday, July 31, 2008, at TAVERN BAY BEACH CLUB. This week we'll have the pleasure of hearing Curly Musgrave & Belinda GailL, who'll be playing some awesome Western Music. I think there'll be a lot of toe-tappin' goin' on!!!
Gates open at 5:00 PM, across from UCLA CONFERENCE CENTER. Concert begins at 6:00 PM.

Every year, the Lake Arrowhead Rotary puts on the Annual Art & Wine Festival. This year, the 40TH, THE FESTIVAL will be held June 21 & 22, 2008 at Tavern Bay in Lake Arrowhead from 10am to 5pm each day
Some of the highlights this year are:
80 artists with works ranging from acrylics to oil paintings to woodworking. A Paint Off will be held to those artist who wish to participate. They will complete a work during the festival to be auctioned off on the last day of the festival. Entertainment will include: Rim High School Jazz Band, the N. R. One of the most beautiful places in Lake Arrowhead is the UCLA CONFERENCE CENTER (BRUIN WOODS, UCLA Alumni Association's Family Resort). 40 acres of heaven at mile high elevation, fresh air and surrounded by towering pines & cedars.
The "resort" hosts over 300 conferences each year, most are University of California groups. The "resort" can accommodate conferences of up to 200 people. "Price for admission" includes lodging, three full meals, meeting rooms... and then there's the fun stuff: swimming, hiking, walking trails, tennis, ping-pong, basketball, sofatball & more.
