I don't recall the person's name at FHA when I began originating mortgages but I remember her clear and consistent message  -- Homeownership Strengthens America. I took her mantra to heart and determined to be part of such a movement to build up our country, one real estate transaction at a time.

When my sister-in-law was potty training my nephew, she promised popcorn as a reward for a job well done. But she didn't have a popcorn maker and was heating up the oil on the stove when she heard a knock on the front door. She turned back to see flames, ran through the house to grab her son and thankfully made it out safely. But the house had catastrophic damage.
