This annual event is great fun for the entire family.  Along with displays from many service agencies, there will be exhibits from all area schools.  Enjoy free food and great door prizes.  There will … (0 comments)

Inspirational Thoughts - 08/21/08 02:07 PM
Yesterday I sent daughter, Jordan, off to college.  I am looking for some good inspirational quotes that I can send her as she begins this exciting and important time in her life.  Below are few I thought appropriate.
"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." ~Thomas Edison  "If we did the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves." ~Thomas Edison "All our dreams can come true - if we have the courage to pursue them." ~Walt Disney "Be who you are and say what you feel, … (6 comments)

"It's My Life...It's Now or Never" - 08/15/08 08:39 AM
This week has been a week of some reflection for me.  You see, my youngest has started back to school, he's a high school sophomore and my oldest is preparing to go off to college next Wednesday.  I have been scurrying around for a couple of weeks getting things in order for everybody.  With most of the prep work now completed, I am faced with an emptying nest...
When I went back to work, I chose a career as a Realtor because I thought it would be "flexible".  What I quickly learned is that it's flexible all right...I get to work around everyone else's … (9 comments)

Master's Degree! - 08/07/08 11:53 PM
If you have read any of my previous posts you probably know that the Everett Horn Library here in Lexington is one of my favorite places.  It's an EXCELLENT library especially for a small town like Lexington.  BUT it just keeps getting better...today I passed by and the sign reads... "Congratulations on your Masters Dinah!"  WOW!  We have a librarian with a master's degree!  She could move on and do a great job with a larger, more prestigious library but she has chosen to stay right here and grow her local library.  I am SO grateful she does.  So a big … (1 comments)
