2011: Lower Keys Real Estate Sales May 22-28, 2011 - 06/11/11 02:45 AM
This report is encompasses Big Pine, Ramrod, Summerland and Sugarloaf Keys.
There were seven Real Estate closing on the above mentioned Keys during the week of May 22 through May 28, 2011. The highest price sale was 1213 Ocean Drive on Summerland Key for $1,200,000. and the lowest priced sale was 30336 Palm Drive on Big Pine Key.

2011: Sales in the lower Keys from April 24-April 30, 2011 - 05/14/11 05:09 AM
There were nine real estate closings in the lower Florida Keys for the week of April 24 through 30, 2011. This includes the area from just south of Marathon to just north of Key West.
The highest priced closing was $1,987,500 for 24 Canon Royal Dr on Shark Key. The lowest priced closing was for $170,000 for 2284 Palm Beach Rd on Big Pine Key. The average price approx $300,000.

2011 sales were 100% for the same week in 2010. Current trends indicate that lower priced properties are starting to move faster, especially with cash buyers. If you want to purchase property in the Fabulous Florida Keys, it is time to get off the fence and make that purchase.
There were 9 Real Estate closed sales in Key Largo for the week April 24 through April 30, 2011. The highest priced sale was $2500000 for 95551 Overseas Highway. The lowest was 325 Calusa St $76,000. The medium price right around $300,000.

2011: Lower Keys Real Estate Sales April 7 through April 23, 2011 - 04/30/11 10:32 PM
There were 7 Real Estate closed sales in the lower Keys (south of Marathon to Stock Island) for the week April 7 through April 23, 2011. The highest priced sale was $675,000 for 172 Sawyer Dr on Cudjoe Key. The lowest was 701 Spanish Main lot 552, also on Cudjoe for $165,000. The medium price was just over $350,000.
This does not include Stock Island or Key West. There were 7 closed sales on Stock Island and Key West. Contact me for more info on them.

There were 4 Real Estate closed sales in Key Colony/Marathon for the week April 7 through April 23, 2011. The highest priced sale was $1,200,000 for 315 13th St. The lowest was 200 39th St for $50,000. The medium price was just over $600,000.

There were 8 Real Estate Closings between Ramrod Key, Summerland Key, Cudjoe Key, Sugarloaf Key, Big Coppit Key and Key Haven.
The highest priced sale was Key Haven at 159 Key Haven Rd, selling for $975,000.
The lowest priced sale was 701 Spanish Main, lot 298 for $108K.
The average price was right around $400,000.

2011: Tomorrow! Liars & Cheaters Golf Tournament at Keys Gate County Club - 04/16/11 07:51 AM
The annual Snapper's Liars & Cheaters Golf Tournament is being held at Keys Gate County Club in Homestead, FL on Saturday April 16, 2011. Check in is at 11:00 AM with a shot gun start at 12:00. It is a best ball scramble.
Entry Fee is $100. which includes the round of golf, range balls, cart, beverages, lunch, awards banquet, goody bag and eligibility for great contests.
As always, Captain Morgan will be a sponsor along with Budweiser and Best Buy.

2011: Key Largo Sales March 26 to April 1, 2011 - 04/10/11 07:43 AM
There were 17 real estate sales closed in Key Largo from March 26 through April 1, 2011 as reported by the Florida Keys Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service. Key Largo extends from Mile Marker 107 south to Mile Marker 91.
The lowest sale price was $65K for a mobile home on Oakwood Ave and the highest was $1,275,000. for 9 Bounty Lane, an open water single family home with bay view and dockage.

2011: Islamorada Bay Jam 2011 this Weekend at Founders Park! (In the fabulous Florida Keys) - 04/07/11 07:04 AM
ICE, Islamorada Community Entertainment, is once again offering FREE admission to Bay Jam music fest 2011. There will be more than 12 bands, all with ties to the Florida Keys music scene.
 
The Fest is scheduled for April 10th at the TIB Amphitheater in Founders Park ( I made a Freudian slip and typed "Flounders" park, some people think the Village is in trouble).

There were 6 sales in Marathon for the week of March 13-19, 2011. The highest sale was $440,000 for 480 Porgy Dr and the lowest was $120,000 for 368 110th St.

99 98th St Unit 1 for $195K

2011: Florida Keys Real Estate Market for the week ending March 19th, 2011 - 03/27/11 02:08 AM
The Keys Real Estate market has been picking up. Although the average sale price for the week of March 13-19th in the Upper Keys was under $200K, bargains are being had in lower end Keys Properties. The highest priced property closed in this period in the Upper Keys was 20 Ocean Front Drive was at $1,245,000 and the lowest was 16 Janet Place for $79,000.
That pretty much illustrates the two opposite type of properties in the Keys, Ocean front large homes vs a small dry lot mobile. There is something for everyone here. Give me a call for your piece … (0 comments)

Compared with the week Feb 27 through March 5 2010, this week was a banner period for Keys Real Estate sales. We had sales of 175% of the same week last year.
 
I you are considering purchasing in the under $300,000 range, it is time to get off your butt and find your piece of Paradise. Of the 9 sales in Key Largo, 7 were under $300K, one was over $660 and 1 at $314K.
