In the summer of 2012, a couple contacted me for help with selling their home. In the course of discussion, it was revealed that they owed more on their mortgage than the house would gain in the market. The market in Central Massachusetts continues to move at a brisk pace. Consider this property, which I listed in April of 2016. Within one week of coming on the market, the seller had accepted an offer. This is a modest home: 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, just over 1100 square feet, and an acre of land. The seller had maintained the systems quite nicely, a septic repair was under way, and all the home needed were some cosmetic changes. The sale is on target to (3 comments)
How did the real estate market perform in Holland, MA in the year 2011? As with many towns in South-Central Massachusetts, Holland saw a slow real estate market in 2011. Sales were slow, and prices were down. The graphs below show the story quite vividly:
